Celebrate Independence!

The Celebrate Independence Film Project is a unique and exciting part of this new Film Festival.  Filmmakers from around the country are asked to submit a three minute or less video on the subject of Independence  – what does it mean to you. (NOTE: we’re not referring to the city but rather being independent) Filmmakers of all types are asked to participate – young, old, professional, amateur – everyone is encouraged to join in on the fun.

Art will be on display throughout the event at various locations around The Square and the nearby Englewood Arts District where the work of over 20 artists can already be seen on a regular basis. Musical performances will occur throughout the event at various times and locations as well with a special presentation of music on the Main Stage at S. Liberty and W. Kansas.   In addition, a wonderful variety of shopping, dining and historical sites are available so visitors will have plenty to do as they await the screening of their next must-see film.

Participating filmmakers will be treated to the rich history and fun, exciting, old-school scene of Independence, be part of our panel series and guaranteed an amazing time!
